Installing Optical Shop Software™ on a workstation.

STEP 1:
You must install FileMaker Pro 5.5 and the required plug-ins if not already done.

Step 2:
Double click on the installer Optical Shop Client.exe (the exe may not be seen)

Step 3:
If you have Windows XP, you can install a shortcut into the TOP section of the Program
Files section of the Start Menu. Double click on "Workstation shortcut.exe".

After Optical Shop Software has been started on the host machine, or served by FileMaker Pro Server, workstations can log onto the Optical Shop Software network. The user simply double clicks on the Optical Shop client module. The module opens automatically using the lowest level database password. At that screen the user clicks on the Click here to Log onto Network button to startup that machine using the lowest level FileMaker password.

Administrator Please read this ---> To use higher level passwords, the user holds down the option key (shift key on Windows machines) immediately after double clicking on Optical Shop client. This presents the user with the FileMaker password dialog. You then enter the higher level password and proceed.

Troubleshooting: Occasionally when this file tries to log-on it cannot see the Optical Shop network. If this happen read or print the troubleshooting page that is part of the file!
